I am a receiver of kindness and it left me with a lasting impression. An 41 experience happened to me on the way to the market. Two children, a boy and a girl, came running towards me with bottles in their hands and signed me if I wanted to have 42 water. It was a surprising 43 and I was unsure whether this was for real. I wondered if they were doing fund-raising. I knelt (跪下) to their level to 44 them where their parents were and how much a bottle of water was. 45 I was about to ask them, two adult wo-
men came up to me 46 what the children were doing. “We are teaching the children to 47 without anything in return.” What a great idea!
This incident (事件) 48 me and at once I wanted to ask these strangers some 49 : how did you do it; what made you do it; what 50 did you get from other people and so on … The two mothers gave me answers. They said, “The people who received water reacted differently but they all spoke 51 of it.” A sudden change of attitude 52 among me, the mothers and the children. We were no longer 53 to each other. I ended up helping them give away the 54 of the bottled water. One young lady was so thankful that she
55 accepted the water and said it was the best thing that happened to her all day. When it was all 56 , the children and I were giving each other high-five. It was so much fun.
I was full of gratitude(感激) to the two children, 57 — flowing from one 59 to another! Kindness can be spread widely. I think it can go 60 with no strings attached. them for stopping me on my way. To the mothers I thanked them for being a good 58 to their children. May their water of kindness remain free
