THE ROYAL COLLECTION
The Royal Collection is held by The Queen for her successors (继承者) and the nation. Displayed within the State Apartments are some of the finest works of art in the Royal Collection, many of them still in the historic settings for which they were collected or commissioned(委托) by successive monarchs(君主), notably George IV. The income from admissions to Windsor Castle passes to the Royal Collection Trust, a registered charity which uses part of the income to maintain the fabric of the Castle, and to run the College of St. George.
