资源简介

A

A beggar’s donation(捐款) moved us to tears.

Many rich people donated in millions, but no one can match Xu Chao, a 60-year old beggar. He was a homeless wandering in Nanjing. When he heard the news of the earthquake in Sichuan, he went to donate 5 yuan in the morning. He said people in the disaster area were worse off than him. He came back in the afternoon, donating another 100 yuan. All he had was small change, and he didn’t want to waste volunteer workers’ time to count them, so he went to the bank to save everything he had into one 100-yuan bill. This is from a man who doesn’t have money to buy food for himself.

No matter how poor he is, Xu is rich in love. Beggar as he is, Xu is a hero in helping the people who suffered from the disaster.
