Home schooling is the education of children at home, typically by parents but sometimes by tutors, rather than in other formal settings of public or private schools.

As is reported, some parents choose home schooling as a challenge to the current educational system. The season behind this mainly lies in their dissatisfaction with the exam-oriented style of the mainstream education, and they believe it will definitely do harm to the development of individuals. However, in spite of some positive academic, social, emotional and spiritual benefits from home schooling, there exists a big risk of being rejected by the current educational system and preventing children’s future development as a consequence.
